Karma features eco-friendly bags which, with the exception of the seal used to secure the sacks, are repulpable, biodegradable, and made using compostable and biodegradable technology. Just cut off the top seal of the Karma bag and you can recycle it with your regular paper goods
Karma all-natural dry dog food formula is based on ground organic chicken and organic grains. It includes whole, raw fruits and vegetables which contain health-promoting nutrients, antioxidants and phytochemicals.
Karma also includes yeast extract which is a naturally rich source of protein and essential B-vitamins. In addition to these wholesome nutritional qualities, yeast extract has an attractive flavor to both humans and dogs. Since yeast extract is rich in protein, it is abundant in many amino acids, the building blocks of protein. The natural yeast extract used in Karma does not contain any monosodium glutamate (MSG) as it is sometimes suggested (on the internet) yeast extract does. In fact, yeast extract is one of the select natural ingredients that can be used in organic human foods or pet foods, like Natura’s 95% organic Karma dog food, per the stringent rules of the USDA’s National Organic Program.
All products labeled organic must contain 95% or more certified organic ingredients. Some essential vitamins and minerals may not be available in organic form which prevents the 100% Organic label.

Organic Beets
Beets, also known as beetroot, are a biennial or annual root vegetable of the family Chenopodiaceae (goosefoot family). Natura uses organic beets in Karma Organic dog food.
Beets are high in protein, iron, potassium, folic acid and fiber. The leaves of the beetroot are especially high in calcium. This is a very nutritious and beneficial ingredient.
Organic Sunflower Oil
(naturally preserved with mixed Tocopherols) Organic sunflower oil is obtained by extracting oil from organically-grown sunflower seeds.
Natura uses organic sunflower oil in Karma Organic dog food to provide the essential fatty acid, linoleic acid, which is important for good skin and coat health.
Calcium Carbonate
Calcium carbonate is a mineral that is true to its name by containing a minimum of 38% calcium.
The calcium in bone provides structural integrity to the skeleton and also contributes to the maintenance of proper blood calcium levels through ongoing resorption and deposition. Circulating calcium has essential roles in nerve impulse transmission, muscle contraction, blood coagulation, the activation of certain enzyme systems, the maintenance of normal cell-membrane permeability and transport, and cardiac function.

Dicalcium Phosphate
Dicalcium Phosphate is a calcium salt of phosphoric acid.
Dicalcium phosphate provides both calcium and phosphorus, which are vital for building and maintaining strong bones and teeth. Calcium also regulates heartbeat and other muscle contractions and is necessary for proper blood clotting. Phosphorus plays an important part in the body's energy production.
Potassium Chloride
A chemical compound, KCl, a colorless or white, cubic, crystalline compound that closely resembles common salt (sodium chloride). It is soluble in water, alcohol, and alkalies.
Potassium plays various roles in metabolism and body functions. It assists in the regulation of the acid-base balance and water balance in the blood and the body tissue. It assists in protein synthesis from amino acids and in carbohydrate metabolism.
Herring Oil

Herring oil provides a rich source of Omega 3 fatty acids. Because the herring that Natura uses is of such high quality, the herring oil helps produce healthy skin and lustrous coats.

Salt is a natural mineral, necessary for life and good health.
Salt provides several essential nutrients, such as sodium and chloride, as well as important trace minerals. The average sodium level in our food and treats is currently 0.9 g/Mcal, which is considered low by industry standards, but still supplies the nutrients your pet's body requires.
Direct-Fed Microbials
This is the regulatory term given to microorganism cultures added to food.
Direct-fed microbials are living microbes that can be found in a healthy digestive tract. As cooking would kill these microbes, Natura adds them to the outside of the kibble after the dry food has been gently cooked. Since the entire contents of our canned foods must be cooked as part of the canning process, we are unable to add viable microorganisms to our canned products.
